Bayern Munich – Inter Free Betting Tips

All four positions are now sealed in UEFA Champions League (UCL) Group C, with Bayern Munich already confirmed as group leaders. While there may be nothing at stake in this match for the Teutonic side, there is a record within their grasp, as they could become the first club in UCL history to win all six group stage clashes on three separate occasions, having done so in the 2019/20 and 2021/22 campaigns.

The visit of Inter Milan is perhaps ill-timed in pursuit of that record, given that Bayern have never beaten the Italian giants in Munich (E1, P3), but having won their last 13 UCL games at home, that statistic probably means little to the German side. They are also coming off a strong performance at the weekend, with an emphatic 6-2 win over Mainz that marked the fourth consecutive home game in which Bayern have won by at least four goals.
Inter also had a solid home win over the weekend, beating Sampdoria 3-0 in Serie A to stretch their unbeaten run in all competitions to seven games (G6, E1). Simone Inzaghi’s side have already secured second place in UCL Group C, and are now looking to improve on a poor run of just five wins in their last 14 away appearances in UEFA’s premier club competition (E3, P6).

Despite their decent record in this particular fixture, facing this current version of Bayern could be tricky, as Inter have just six wins in their last 22 matches against German opposition. One of those wins came in the 2010 UCL final, and while another win would certainly be welcome, even a draw would perhaps be a good result as it would extend Inter’s unbeaten run in the UCL to five matches and represent their longest unbeaten run in the competition since 2010.
Players to watch: Bayern’s Sadio Mané was at the heart of the action with a goal and two assists over the weekend, with his last two UCL goals helping to open the scoring. Meanwhile Edin Džeko, who is getting minutes at Inter while Romelu Lukaku completes his fitness, lost six of his eight games against Bayern (G1, E1) while playing for Wolfsburg.
Key stat: Bayern have won their last five home games against Italian opponents, scoring at least twice in each of those matches.
